Lawrence Park

Undoubtedly among the most affluent, beautiful, and exclusive neighborhoods in greater Toronto.

Lawrence Park Real Estate

An affluent, family-centric neighborhood near midtown Toronto

Anything worth having is worth waiting for, and the neighborhood of Lawrence Park wrote the book on that. It started in the early 1900s as a green suburb of Toronto, but life got in the way and threw in a couple of wars and a depression. While many homes were built earlier in the century, things didn’t pick up until after the 1950s. It seems the wait was worth it, though, because Lawrence Park is undoubtedly among the most affluent, beautiful, and exclusive neighborhoods in greater Toronto.

It’s all about planning and patience. Lawrence Park is set up perfectly. The established neighborhood is intentionally situated along gentle hills, winding roads, and open green space. The homes are located on large lots and include lush landscaping, making for an idyllic setting for peaceful walks and visits to nearby neighbors. Many fine boutiques, independent shops, and restaurants have a home on the periphery, leaving the center verdant and peaceful. The architecture includes English Cottage, Tudor Revival, Georgian, and Colonial styles, although newer luxurious homes are an option.

Local Lifestyle

In this established neighborhood, community is everything. Residents are actively involved in maintaining the beauty and social bonds in the area. Many locals are members of The Granite Club, a recreation center that offers athletics, fitness programs, fine dining, an exclusive spa and therapy clinic, lectures, art classes, and more. Community, fun, food, and culture are all expected and delivered in Lawrence Park.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

For excellent Eastern Mediterranean food and live jazz music in the lounge on Friday evenings, Byblos offers a fine-dining experience. They have a delectable Short Rib Kebab. Over at The Miller Tavern, wine and cheese night takes place every Thursday in the lounge. They have an extensive wine list and serve classic American food; make sure you order the Pan Seared Halibut. For authentic Italian cuisine and a taste of traditional Italy, Parmigiana Trattoria awaits, and their Veal Marsala is out of this world.

The Yonge Lawrence Village shopping district offers restaurants, markets, specialty shops, boutiques, salons, and spas. The Muddy York Walking Tours gives an inside view of the “secrets behind Toronto,” including history, cinema, and ghost stories. Nature lovers who enjoy scenic trails, ravines, and formal garden beds will be wowed by the Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens in the heart of the neighborhood. In addition to the breathtaking views, the garden is also home to yoga groups and other fitness options. Sherwood Park is also close by and offers wading pools, walking trails, a playground, and picnic areas.

Things to Do

A short drive will bring you to the Toronto Botanical Garden and its stunning gardens, educational programs, music series, and plant sales.
